United Hebrew of New Rochelle, NY, a campus of residences and services for older adults, looks forward to a dynamic exhibition May 20 - Sept. 9, 2011 which will feature artwork reflecting birds, bees and butterflies - beautiful creatures that conjure visions of springtime with a wealth of vibrant colors and soothing sounds bringing delight to all.
These winged creatures also play a critical role as ecological indicators of the health and land they inhabit. Recognized as "pollinators", they are vital to our delicate ecosystem, supporting terrestrial life and providing a healthy watershed.
Open to visual artists working in 2-D and 3-D mediums including paintings, works on paper, photography, encaustic (beeswax), ceramics, digital media, glass, mosaic, jewelry, fiber art, sculpture (free-standing and kinetic) and eco-art. The exhibition will occupy both the Lazarus Gallery and the Courtyard garden area. Best in Show will be awarded.
No entry fee.
