Beers.Lambert Contemporary Art Project Space (London, UK) is proud to present an exhibition, June 2 - July 3, 2011, in conjunction with the conference on Aesthetics, Pornography & Art (June 16-18) presented by the University of Kent at the London Institute of Philosophy.
- The exhibition will present up to 10 artists who explore an impassioned and polemical engagement with sexuality and/or gender-constructs in their art practice.
- The exhibition questions how work informed by sexuality and gender either rejects or integrates normative societal representation and the ability to maintain its 'radical' constituency.
- The exhibition considers the existence of art-practices that confront sexuality and/or gender-constructs and their representation in normative society, including the articulation of perspectives that propel, challenge, question, or verify the constitution of sexuality and its representations in art and society.
- Artists from all parts of the world working in all media are welcome to submit an application for consideration.
- £10/6 images. £15/10 images.
